 Family - Married with children and one grandchild.

Education - Bachelors degree in social sciences from Huron College, 1979

Experience - I started teaching in Winner in 1979.  I taught Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Current Events, Government, Marriage and Family Living and South Dakota History.  I coached Middle School Football, Assisted in High School Wrestiling, Middle School Track and was the Rodeo Club Advisor.  From there I moved to Wagner and taught Civics, Government, Psychology and Sociology.  I was the Head High School Wrestling Coach and Assistant Football.  I moved on the Sioux Falls where I worked at the Childrens Home Society where I team taught in a middle school classroom.  I was the Assistant High School Wrestling Coach at Washington High School and coached Middle School Football at Whittier Middle School.  I came to Canton in 1989.  While here I have taught Government, Psychology, Sociology, South Dakota History and Middle School Geography.  I have coached Football on all levels from 7th grade to High School Assistant.  I have coached Wrestling on all levels from Middle School to being the Head High School coach from 1989 to 2000. I am currently teaching U.S. Government and A.P. Government while coaching as a High School Assistant in Wrestling and Track.

This course will focus on the background, development and modern operation of the American system of government.  This course prepares the student for the AP Government test.
