Absentee & Early Voting Ballots for School Bond Election
Absentee ballots and early voting for the Canton School District Bond Election will be available starting Monday, May 9, 2016, at the School Business Office. Ballots are available during normal office hours, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and can be cast between May 9th and June 6th.
To receive an absentee ballot in person, you will need to bring your photo ID and fill out an application. If you do not have a photo ID, you will be asked to fill out a personal ID affidavit.
All voters who wish to vote absentee by mail will need to submit an absentee ballot application, which can be found at https://sdsos.gov/elections-voting/voting/absentee-voting.aspx. This application must include a copy of the voters ID OR the voter’s signature on the application must be notarized. The application cannot be returned by fax or email unless the voter is a uniformed and overseas voter. The School Business Manager will mail out a ballot voting packet. The packet must be returned via mail or in person to the Business Office prior to June 6, by 5:00 pm.
